Prison

Jesus called us to care and serve others. In Mississippi, there are over 14,000 individuals incarcerated in local and state prisons. That is larger than most towns in the state. This presents a great opportunity for the Broadmoor family of faith to love and bring hope through Jesus.

Below are opportunities to be a part of this unique ministry as we run to the hurting and share Christ with the communities around us. To serve with most of these opportunities, volunteers must go through a background check and Prison Ministry orientation. To begin that process, please fill out the interest form below and we will contact you.

Prayer Walk at Central MS Correction Facility

Join us on September 21 as we Prayer Walk at Central MS Correction Facility in Pearl.
There are 3 sign-up times to come to the prayer walk and/or get your volunteer name badge. You can receive your volunteer badge only if background check and orientation have been completed, but you do not need this to walk.

The prayer walk will encompass the “outer loop” of CMCF. Approved volunteers will receive their badge, but non approved volunteers can participate in the walk, but will not receive a badge. Volunteers must be signed up by September 18. You must be 18 years old or older.

Volunteer Badges are only given if a background check has been given and you have attended orientation. If you have yet to attend orientation and complete a background check, you can only walk. Fill out the Interest Form to learn how to get involved.
