In addition to the Ministerial Staff, the Broadmoor Family is blessed to have lay leaders who serve in varying capacities.
Deacons serve, unify, and lead. Each year, the Broadmoor Family is invited to offer nominations for qualified men to serve as deacons. After a careful vetting process, qualified nominees meet with our pastors, as well as with our Deacon Nominee Review Team. Once accepted and approved by the church body, these men are ordained and celebrated in a special evening service. Click the button below to learn more.
During both morning worship services on Sunday, February 18, 2018, the Broadmoor Family will be voting to approve or reject a new set of Church Bylaws. Our existing bylaws have not been revised in 20 years. The most significant change to the current bylaws is the proposed addition of a church-elected Church Council. The Church Council would be comprised of pastors and lay members (both men and women), serving as the authoritative board of directors for Broadmoor. The Church Council would be primarily tasked with administrative decisions as they relate to the church. Members of the Church Council would be elected from the Broadmoor membership by members of the Broadmoor Family. The Church Council would be composed of at least thirteen, and no more than fifteen members.
