Leadership Pathway

The Leadership Pathway is not simply a new class but a structured, intentional process for raising up men and women who are ready to be servant leaders from a place of health, humility, and biblical conviction. Unhealthy leaders create unhealthy environments, and this course is designed to help participants identify and address the personal patterns, habits, and blind spots they may otherwise carry into their leadership. This pathway is built on the language and framework of Multiplication Effect by Mac Lake, and progresses through four developmental stages.

The Leadership Pathway is open to anyone. While it is designed with leaders and emerging leaders in mind, the front door is wide open for every member, and may be the on-ramp to deeper involvement at Broadmoor. For those who are ready, it is a natural next step after Servant Leader Mobilization.

Four Stages of the Leadership Pathway

Stage 1: Leading Yourself

Before you can lead anyone else, you have to be led well yourself. Leading Yourself is about becoming a true follower of Jesus, one who is learning to abide, being shaped and formed through life-on-life discipleship. This is the foundation of the entire pathway: your character, your walk with God, and your willingness to be taught come first. Every leader at Broadmoor starts here.

How to take the first step.
A) In Person Gathering: Meeting in the fall and spring during Wednesdays at Broadmoor, this is a great opportunity if you prefer the dialogue with others in a live setting.
B) Self Study Guide: If your schedule doesn’t allow for a specific time and setting or if you would prefer to journey through this with a small group, this is an ideal path for you. Click below to access the guide and begin at your own pace.
C) Online Class (coming soon): Maybe you like the classroom setting but your schedule doesn’t align with when in person classes are offered. This option allows you to join an online class with a facilitator and walk through this stage together.
D) Right Now Media (coming soon): A video based self guided learning process through Right Now Media is a great option for those who want teaching and instruction in a video based format, but need to do it on their own time.

Stage 2: Leading Others

Leading Others is where you shift from doing the work yourself to walking alongside someone else who’s doing it too. You’ll learn to shepherd well, disciple in everyday moments, and lead a small group of people the way Jesus led His disciples: up close, life on life. This is where servant leaders start becoming disciple-makers.

Ways to take this step:
A) In Person Gathering (coming Spring 2027): Meeting in the fall and spring during Wednesdays at Broadmoor, this is a great opportunity if you prefer the dialogue with others in a live setting.
B) Self Study Guide (coming Spring 2027): If your schedule doesn’t allow for a specific time and setting or if you would prefer to journey through this with a small group, this is an ideal path for you. Click below to access the guide and begin at your own pace.
C) Online Class (coming Spring 2027): Maybe you like the classroom setting but your schedule doesn’t align with when in person classes are offered. This option allows you to join an online class with a facilitator and walk through this stage together.
D) Right Now Media (coming Summer 2027): A video based self guided learning process through Right Now Media is a great option for those who want teaching and instruction in a video based format, but need to do it on their own time.

Stage 3: Leading Leaders

Leading Leaders is for those God is calling to lead leaders, not just individuals. In this cohort, you’ll grow as a coach and developer of people, learning to multiply groups, raise up new leaders, and guide others toward a shared purpose. It’s less about doing ministry yourself and more about equipping others to do it well. Council members, Life Group Leaders, and Deacons often find themselves called into this stage. This is delivered through a cohort experience only.

Stage 4: Leading Teams & Ministries

Leading Teams & Ministries is the multiplying stage. Here, you’re no longer just building leaders. You’re building something that outlasts you, a team or ministry that keeps producing guides and disciple-makers long after you’ve handed it off. This is often where God calls people into full-time ministry, church planting, or leading a ministry area, entrusting them with stewarding something much bigger than themselves. This is delivered through a cohort experience only.
