Harbor House Family Support Volunteers
Family Support Volunteers come around the host family, praying for both the host family and the placing family, and meeting practical needs. This may be through offering meals, transportation, yardwork, childcare, or even making a grocery run! Host families carry a heavy load and need a support team around them to fulfill their role!
Harbor House Family Navigator/Coach
The Family Navigator/Coach works directly with the placing parent and the Lifeline Harbor Families Specialist to encourage, support, and assist the parent in achieving agreed-upon goals. The Navigator will communicate regularly with the placing parent to ensure he or she is pursuing these goals and to give feedback to the Lifeline representative.
Harbor House Host Family
The Host Family opens their home to the child in need. This family will provide care for the child, including food, lodging, transportation, etc., and will remain in close contact with the ministry captain, navigator, and support team. Communication with the biological parent will be handled on a case-by-case basis.
Harbor House Ministry Captain
The Ministry Captain leads the overall Harbor Families Ministry at Broadmoor and oversees each of the other roles. They are the liaison between Broadmoor and Lifeline and will help with any questions that arise.
