We Will Go is a community ministry located in downtown Jackson just north of the state capitol. We Will Go has over 20 missionaries who live in this downtown community. Their ministry to the community includes a community center, clothing closet, after-school care, tutoring, recreation, community garden, woodworking business, home renovation, and a coffee shop.
Broadmoor’s Part: We have groups committed to serving at We Will Go on Saturday mornings. Service projects vary by the ministry need. All you need to do is show up. Come join us! We also have opportunities to care for the missionary families living on We Will Go’s campus.
City Church is a church plant started by Luke & April Epperson. They are in the old Westview Baptist Church in South Jackson. Their mission is to evangelize and disciple neighborhoods and apartment communities in South and West Jackson.
Broadmoor’s Part: We specifically want to help City Church reach more people! We are committed to sending teams on Saturdays to pass out sack lunches to apartment communities. This is a great way for City Church to reach more people and begin a discipleship relationship with them.
God’s Haven is a discipleship ministry to at-risk families in South Jackson. They have a discipleship program for kids and teens and a Bible study for single mothers.
Broadmoor’s Part: Provide more volunteers for the Monday night weekly discipleship program. Volunteers can serve as teachers, group guides, program staff, or kitchen workers.
One Church is an intentionally multicultural church plant in Ridgeland. Their dream is to specifically reach apartment dwellers in Ridgeland, as well as serve as a multicultural congregation in the Jackson area.
Broadmoor’s Part: We want to help One Church reach more families in the Ridgeland apartments. Teams go out on Saturday afternoons with One Church to play games, share food, and hold Bible studies for kids and adults in the Ridgeland apartments.
In His Steps Ministries is a preventative ministry in Canton. They provide after-school tutoring and discipleship for Canton students, as well as a robust sports ministry program for Canton youth.
Broadmoor’s Part: We want to help In His Steps reach their neighbors in a neighborhood called the Sawmill Quarters. We send teams out on Saturday mornings or afternoons to play games, hold Bible studies, and serve food to reach and disciple Sawmill Quarter residents.
Madison Countians Allied Against Poverty (MadCAAP) is a ministry in Canton to families in poverty. The Joe Prichard Homes is the largest low-income housing complex in Canton.
Broadmoor’s Part: Broadmoor is partnering with MadCAAP to evangelize, disciple, and build great relationships with youth and families in the Joe Prichard Homes in Canton. Teams will go out on Saturday afternoons to assist with a VBS-like activity for the Joe Prichard Home children!
