The unexpected turns of the COVID-19 virus have taken all of us by surprise, as we learn to live in this season of a new normal. In Deuteronomy 6:6–9, God commands parents to be the primary disciple-maker in their homes.
"And these words that I command you today shall be on your heart. You shall teach them diligently to your children, and shall talk of them when you sit in your house, and when you walk by the way, and when you lie down, and when you rise. You shall bind them as a sign on your hand, and they shall be as frontlets between your eyes. You shall write them on the doorposts of your house and on your gates."
This passage makes it clear that God's intent is for parents to teach their children about God and His ways. God's Word should be at the forefront of our lives and the center of our homes.
Parents have the unexpected opportunity to live this model out RIGHT NOW! But you don't have to figure it out alone. Use the tools we have prepared for you (they will be available each week) to lead your family in a growing relationship with Jesus Christ. We've designed these in such a way that the age of your child doesn't matter - you make the scripture relevant to them - whatever phase of life they might be in. The weekly lessons will tie directly into the messages that will be shared during our Sunday morning online worship experiences.
Most importantly, know you are not alone. We are still here - ready to serve you in any way that we can. We are a phone call - a text - an email away. Just say the word - and we will do whatever we can to help!
If you would like to virtually be a part of a student life group at 10:00 am on Sunday mornings contact the student ministry email@example.com for information on how to connect online.
