SUMMARY:CERT Basic Training
DESCRIPTION:CERT training will be offered by the Mississippi Department of Homeland Security on October 4th and 5th at Broadmoor. You must register for the training by clicking HERE and providing your name\, email\, and cell phone information. There are only 20 seats available for this training. Friday’s training begins at 6pm in room F100 (the old bookstore). Saturday’s training begins at 8am in F100 and will run until 3 to 4pm. This will be Broadmoor’s second team of trained CERT members. SUMMARY:MBCM Disaster Relief Training
DESCRIPTION:Members of Broadmoor who are interested in partnering with Mississippi Baptist Disaster Relief (MBDR) to help others after a disaster strikes must be trained and credentialed through MBDR. Training sessions will be conducted on Friday\, July 19 and Saturday\, July 20. The cost for each participant is $25\, which includes lunch and a background check. The fee must be paid by cash or check at registration. See below for the schedule. All training sessions will be in the Venue. Sign up HERE. \n\n\nFriday\n5:30pm – Registration\n6:00-10:00pm – Introduction to Southern Baptist Disaster Relief Ministry (required for all participants)\n\nSaturday\n8:00am-4:00pm – Participants will choose one session from the three below. Click here to read the description of each training session.\n(1) Chainsaw/Debris Removal\n(2) Mass Feeding\n(3) Clean Up & Recovery (temporary roofing/blue tarp\, flood recovery\, and shower/laundry services).
