SUMMARY:Around the Table at Night
DESCRIPTION:Men…Join us for an evening with dads\, sons\, and grandfathers. It will be a fun evening that begins at 6:00 with a great meal and fellowship around the table. \nOur special guest for the evening will be Jeff Struecker. Jeff Struecker is a decorated soldier. At age 18\, he enlisted in the United States Army as an Infantryman and retired as a chaplain with over 22 years of active federal service. \nIn 2017\, he was inducted into the US Army Ranger Hall of Fame. He served for ten years in the 75th Ranger Regiment in positions from Private to Platoon Sergeant. While serving in this unit\, Jeff competed in and won the David L. Grange Best Ranger Competition in 1996. He taught ROTC at the University of Louisville and was recognized in 1998 as the US Army ROTC\, Noncommissioned Officer of the Year. Jeff spent his final ten years in the US Army serving as a chaplain in Airborne and Ranger units. \nThroughout his career\, Jeff has attended numerous professional military schools and has received many awards and commendations. Some of his awards include the Ranger Tab\, Combat Infantryman’s Badge\, Pathfinder Badge\, Master Parachutists Wings\, Military Freefall Master Parachutist Wings\, several foreign jump wings and the Combat Action Badge. He has been awarded other commendations and decorations throughout his military career. \nHis combat experience includes participation in the invasion of Panama\, Operation Desert Storm\, Black Hawk Down in Somalia\, and more than a dozen combat tours in Afghanistan and Iraq. Jeff has been awarded medals for valor in combat and has received many medals as recognition for his service in the US Army. Jeffholds a Ph.D. from Southeastern Baptist Theological Seminary in Wake Forest\, NC. He also has several other earned and honorary degrees. He is the lead pastor of 2 Cities Church in Columbus\, Georgia. He is an award-winning author with five books in print. He and his wife\, Dawn\, have five children and 4 grandchildren. \nIt will be a great night of fellowship with other men in our church and community and a challenging word from Jeff. \nHope to see you on October 15th at 6:00 in the Venue. \nRegister Now through October 13th at 6pm

This online training conference is intended to serve both professionals and non-professionals who are interested in a gospel-centered domestic abuse intervention ministry. Past attendees have included licensed and lay counselors\, social workers\, pastors\, elders\, small group leaders\, advocates\, survivors\, and family members of those experiencing or perpetrating abuse.\n\nPeaceWorks Live 2024 Livestream attendees will:\n— be able to view the conference’s four combined Plenary sessions\n— be able to view the six Biblical Counseling & Domestic Abuse Track sessions\n— receive a PDF event attendee packet (which will include session notes/outlines)\n— receive permanent access to a separate\, new four-part video resource from Ben Marshall on Developing Church Policy\n— have access to the PeaceWorks Live 2024 conference recordings for 48 hours after the event has concluded\n\nAll training will be done remotely via livestream. DESCRIPTION:CERT training will be offered by the Mississippi Department of Homeland Security on October 4th and 5th at Broadmoor. You must register for the training by clicking HERE and providing your name\, email\, and cell phone information. There are only 20 seats available for this training. Friday’s training begins at 6pm in room F100 (the old bookstore). Saturday’s training begins at 8am in F100 and will run until 3 to 4pm. This will be Broadmoor’s second team of trained CERT members.
