SUMMARY:Together Weekend 2025
DESCRIPTION:Together WKND began in 2019 when a collection of local youth pastors sought to unite the students of Madison County under the banner of Jesus Christ and the mission that He gives us in Matthew 28:19-20. Those youth pastors wanted to see the walls of division that students had unintentionally put up be knocked down for the sake of the gospel. Some of those things included school rivalries\, socio-economic status\, and even what church they attended. The goal of every Together WKND is for students to unite no matter what they look like\, how much money they have\, what school they attend\, or what church they call home – to take the message of Jesus Christ together into Madison County. \nTogether WKND is essentially a Disciple Now for grades 6 – 12. Students will stay in grade-specific and gender-specific Host Homes with the church they register. The owners of these homes have gone through a background check and sexual abuse awareness training. There will be two college/young adult aged facilitators that will be their small group leaders throughout the weekend. They will lead students in small group discussions and disciple them throughout the weekend. These Small Group Leaders have completed a background check and gone through sexual abuse awareness training. DESCRIPTION:WHO: High School upperclassmen (Juniors and Seniors) and adult volunteers.\n\nWHAT: Broadmoor partners with Encounter Church\, a growing group of friends and neighbors from Westwood\, Dedham\, and surrounding communities who have two things in common: a love for God and a passion to serve their community. Led by Pastor Chris Causey\, Encounter Church exists to be a catalyst for encounters with Christ that lead to life change. Team members will have rental vehicles with designated adult drivers to get to and from the church. The team may also get passes for public transit to travel throughout the city to nearby places. Kleenex will be provided—and so much more!  \nWhether you’re seeking encouragement\, community\, or simply a chance to reflect\, this retreat is for you. We can’t wait to share this meaningful experience together!  \nYour registration fee includes three meals\, lodging\, and snacks. If you register by February 14\, you will receive an Early Bird price of $75. After that date\, the price goes to $100. If you want to register for DAY ONLY\, the amount is $50.  \nHousing is twin bunk style\, and on the registration page\, you can choose a pal or two to room with you. You will also receive a list of what to bring after registering. There are a few spots available in queen-sized beds for any seasoned women 😊 who need them.   \nTransportation is on your own\, but we will be glad to help you find a ride with others who are registered.   \nSpace is limited.
