SUMMARY:The Move
DESCRIPTION:The Move is our milestone event for 8th-grade students moving up to High School. We will spend the afternoon fellowshipping with one another at the home of church members\, Joe and DeAnne Hegi. Students can swim\, kayak\, shoot basketball and spend the afternoon together. Students should get dropped off at the church at 2:00 pm. We will take church vans down the road to Joe and DeAnne’s house for the afternoon fellowship portion of the day. Be sure to bring swim wear\, a towel\, sunscreen\, and a change of clothes. We will arrive back at the church around 5:00 pm. We ask that parents meet us back at the church at 5:00 pm for the chance to hear from our High School ministry team about what they can expect from High School ministry at Broadmoor. While parents are doing this\, our students will have the chance to hear from some of our High School Serve Team leaders about how to stay strong in their faith during the High School years. We will then end the night with a dinner for parents and students as we pray over our 8th graders and this next chapter of their life. \nRegister HERE

SUMMARY:Together Weekend 2025
DESCRIPTION:Together WKND began in 2019 when a collection of local youth pastors sought to unite the students of Madison County under the banner of Jesus Christ and the mission that He gives us in Matthew 28:19-20. Those youth pastors wanted to see the walls of division that students had unintentionally put up be knocked down for the sake of the gospel. Some of those things included school rivalries\, socio-economic status\, and even what church they attended. The goal of every Together WKND is for students to unite no matter what they look like\, how much money they have\, what school they attend\, or what church they call home – to take the message of Jesus Christ together into Madison County. \nTogether WKND is essentially a Disciple Now for grades 6 – 12. Students will stay in grade-specific and gender-specific Host Homes with the church they register. The owners of these homes have gone through a background check and sexual abuse awareness training. There will be two college/young adult aged facilitators that will be their small group leaders throughout the weekend. They will lead students in small group discussions and disciple them throughout the weekend. These Small Group Leaders have completed a background check and gone through sexual abuse awareness training. Collective worship sessions will be held at Broadmoor Baptist Church. \nSign up HERE to join us for this amazing weekend! SUMMARY:The Move
DESCRIPTION:The Move is our Middle School Milestone event for 8th graders moving up to 9th grade. We spend the afternoon together fellowshipping and swimming at Joe and DeAnne Hegi’s house. We return to the church where our 8th graders get to hear from a panel of high school students and they get to ask them questions about high school and how to stay strong in their faith in a new school environment. Meanwhile\, our High School staff gets to meet with the parents and give them a preview of what high school ministry looks like at Broadmoor. We finish the night off with a dinner where students and parents sit together and parents get to pray over their student as they enter this new season. Register HERE!
