TOGETHER 2019

January 18-20, 2019

Imagine what would happen if ALL metro area students gathered TOGETHER for a weekend of amazing worship, powerful discipleship, and hands on mission opportunities.

Mind-blowing possibilities, right? That's exactly how we felt when we started talking about it.  And that's exactly what we want to have.  A MIND-BLOWING weekend where students walk away ON FIRE for the Lord they serve, ready to follow Him wherever He leads. Ready to hold each other accountable because they've all had the same experience.  And ready to be bold as they follow God's calling to make disciples.

We are SO EXCITED to partner with area churches for a joint D-NOW weekend.  Rather than fight for different dates, speakers, venues, and all the other stuff involved, we decided to pool our efforts together and create an INCREDIBLE weekend for ALL students.  While the planning team includes people from 7 different churches, ALL churches are invited to participate and be a part of this weekend!

We will all come together on FRIDAY NIGHT for a collective worship experience, but then we will go to individual host homes for the night.  On SATURDAY, we will start the day with another collective worship experience and then students will be with their own churches for small group times and mission projects, with everyone coming together again for one final collective worship experience that evening.

It's a different approach, but one we are RIDICULOUSLY excited about.  See below for all the details!

  • Friday, January 18 - Sunday, January 20, 2019*

*Note: Student's will attend their own church on Sunday morning.

  • Students (Grades 6-12) may participate in D-NOW 2019.

What is the cost for the weekend?

  • The cost is $60.  It includes all meals, activities, and a D-NOW T-Shirt.

Who are the speakers and worship band?

  • Speaker: Landon Dowden
Landon Dowden is lead pastor of The Church at Trace Crossing in Tupelo, Mississippi. With the firm belief that the Gospel is the only hope for aligning our lives with God’s Word, Landon is firmly committed to verse by verse exposition of the Bible, because “nothing is better for God’s people than God’s Word.” Landon yielded his own life to Christ at the age of eight while growing up in Louisiana. After finishing with a Bachelor’s degree from Louisiana State University, Landon furthered his studies with three graduate-level degrees (Master of Divinity, Master of Theology and Doctorate of Philosophy) at New Orleans Baptist Theological Seminary in New Orleans, LA. Some of Landon’s hidden talents are humming and beatboxing simultaneously, rapping part of Psalm 23 in Hebrew, being a national record holder for Jump Rope for Heart, and still being able to remember the “cheat code” to Contra on Nintendo.
  • Worship Leader: Dave Hunt
Dave’s been leading worship for over 20 years. Somewhere in the middle of all the worship leading, he served as an associate student minister, a university minister, a worship pastor, and has helped plant two churches. He’s led worship at all sorts of gatherings from Passion Conferences to weekly college worship gatherings. Not to mention more camps than he can count. Dave’s been nominated for a Dove award, had a cut on Casting Crowns Lifesong, produced an album or two, and wrote or co-wrote nearly every song on nearly every album he’s done. But the reason you’ll appreciate Dave as a worship leader has far less to do with his experience or talent and much more to do with who he is.
