When Jesus lived on this earth He ministered to all people. He healed the demon possessed, the lame and the blind. He spoke in public to the outcasts of society. Everyone deserved His love and attention. At Broadmoor we want to minister to all people, never excluding anyone from the opportunity to experience God's love.
In an effort to begin a special needs ministry here at Broadmoor, a small group of individuals have been busy researching our possibilities. In November 2002, our church began hosting Friday Night Friends, which is a special needs kid's night out. Through this ministry, we are bringing hope, love, support, and a much-needed evening of relief for the parents and caretakers of special needs children. We also offer Sunday morning and evening classes and activities for these children.
Wednesdays from 5:45-7PM • Grace Room
For children with special needs. This time of fellowship while spending time in God’s Word is designed for Grace Ministry students. Bring a sack meal.
Friday, February 9 • 6-9PM
Night to Shine is a prom experience centered on God's love for people with special needs, ages 14 and older. Walk the red carpet, enjoy the royal treatment, and dance the night away!
This night is only possible through the help of volunteers! No experience with special needs is necessary; just a desire to share the love of Christ. Here are just some of the ways in which you can serve: decorating, greeting, acting as "paparazzi", serving as a buddy to a prom-goer, serving in the respite room, styling hair and make-up, shoe shining, etc.

Friday Night Friends is an opportunity for children with special needs (no age limit) and their siblings (through 5th grade) to have fun together in an exciting environment. We couldn't make these events happen without volunteers. If you are interested in serving, please email email@example.com.
