PARENT/CHILD DEDICATION

DECEMBER 4 AT 9:15 & 10:45AM

"I prayed for this child, and the Lord has granted me what I asked, so now I give him to the Lord.  For his whole life he will be given to the Lord."  I Samuel 1:27-28 (NIV)

Parent/Child Dedication is a worship ceremony where parents commit themselves to adhere to Biblical principles and to raise their children according to God’s Word. You not only commit your child but you are committing yourselves to maintaining a Christ-like home at all times.

This is an All-Church Celebration. Parents will be committing themselves in front of God and the church family. The church family will commit to parents to encourage and help them through the years ahead.

God’s plan for raising children is found in Deuteronomy 6 where He says, “Talk about God’s commands to your children when you are at home, when you are on the road, when you go to bed and when you get up.” The Parent/Child Dedication service is an important part of the spiritual growth path that Jesus himself walked.Parents cannot lead their child down a path they have not taken. Broadmoor believes this milestone is so important that we require parents who want to participate in the Parent/Child Dedication Service to attend two parenting classes before participating in the celebration.

The next Parent/Child Dedication service will be held on Sunday morning, December 4 at the 9:15 and 10:45 services.

Due to planning requirements, November 9 at 4PM is the final deadline to register for the service, parenting classes, and dinner. Note: When you sign up for the dedication service you are also registering at least one parent to attend both parenting classes.

  1. Sunday, Nov. 13 at 9:15 in the Fellowship Hall (center section)
  2. Sunday, Nov. 20 at 9:15 in the same location.

A fellowship dinner with our Pastor will be held in your honor on Wednesday, November 30 at 6:00 PM in the Community Room (2nd floor of Faith Building). Registration for the dinner is required.
